I´ve been Hacked :´(
ok.. I dont know how to start this..I´m just so sad...My head hurts me of so much crying...
It was like this, (i´ve been so noob...omg i´m such a stupid girl, i think i trust to much people), i was in kamadan selling some stuff, and a ranger asked me if I could make it one price lower if he showed me how to double stuff. I think I hadent think, so i´ve said yes, and he told me that this only could be one once time, so i took all my gold(60k),11 ectos,a rune +50 hp for armor, and 5 temp. for hall of monuments. we went to the outside and he said to take all my clothes and let be killed. Then he rezz me and said to go to a place safe and drop all my things on the floor, so I choose a safe place and i run very Far of him (for he dont took my things...), when i drop all my things including money on floor, from nowhere, i dont know how he had done that, I´ve been killed for "nothing", dont know any work to describe it better...And now you know...He had took all my stuff... now i dont have nothing... I posted this to warning you. The guy has guild and evrything, i took some screens, i poost here one of him, maybe you recognize the guild, something, i know that is kinda impossible get my stuff back, but i would like to see justice.. His nick is NAME REMOVED i´m really sad... |

Report to Arenanet in the future. We can't do anything here.
And never drop your stuff on the ground. And going along with things that are against the EULA will get you into trouble. Use the trade window for everything, and don't go outside and drop things because people give you excuses to. |

somewhat stupid really, sorry bout that, but you cant do what that noob was advertising (having a guild is irrelevent - just because he is a no(o)b doesnt mean his whole guild is >>> know a few people whom have been scammed but in worse ways - take happiness from the fact you didnt have a lot of money...when you are above 1mil then you can really cry if you get scammed : know someone who had their account hacked lost over 1mil etc. so I know how your feeling

That's one of the most common scams, they tell you they can dupe things then you have to go die then they res you with aura you drop your things they kill you and pick your stuff up, or they use something like return to teleport pick up and stuff and leave. if someone says they can dupe they are lying and are trying to steal your stuff

Was he a necromancer or monk...? There are two skills that allow you to be "rezzed" temporarily. If he chooses to end that enchantment, you die. That is what he did. You were not hacked, he just tricked you. Sorry for your loss! I sincerely mean that!

yeah thats not a hack at all. Never drop your stuff in a random area. I know how to do that everyone does. You rez with that enchant you drop the stuff they kill you. and then pick up your stuff.

Okey the fact that you got scammed is one thing but duplicate items?
I think that you lost everything is a fair punishment. |

It's your own fault for attempting to dupe items. Sure it was wrong of him to lie to you, but you should never believe something which is an obvious scam like this. I really have no sympathy for you, you believed this guy and tried to cheat the game, and you got your comuppence for it.
